DEADLINE EXTENSION FOR WRITING ONLY, JUNE 12th.

A little update on Volume 3 of The 22 Magazine, we are currently still in the process on deciding on contributors for Volume 3/III/Three. As always the decision has proven to be twice as hard as more and more talented folk submit. That being said, we are still looking for the perfect pieces of written word (particularly fiction or nonfiction pieces) to accompany most of this beautiful art and music. We will be extending the deadline for writing submissions only to June 12th. Included below is a list of "inspiration" or ideas about what we are looking for in a story. Good luck and thank you for all the amazing submissions so far. Truly an honor to review them all!

VIDEO WEEKEND: Video weekend is an ongoing series dedicated to the pairing of two or more films or videos that have a dialogue or common elements. It occurs once a week on Saturday's. To submit your film/video for consideration please send LINKS ONLY to the22magazine (at) gmail (dot) com. We will not accept attached files.

THE WEEK/WEEKEND: The Week/Weekend is a curated bi-weekly listing of events in and around the New York area. To have your event considered for THE WEEK you must submit your event online (or by email) by the Friday preceding the event. To have your event considered for THE WEEKEND you must must submit your event online (or by email) by the Wenesday preceding the event.

CLAMOR IN THE STREETS: Clamor is the Street is music in the streets courtesy of The 22 Magazine. Started as a passive response to crackdowns on performers and musicians in the streets of New York City, Clamor in the Street is also a celebration of the unique tone and tenor of all the streets and performers in NY and Brooklyn. As much about context as it is about conservation, CITS is a love letter to the participatory spirit and documentation. The location is chosen by the magazine or the performer and is recorded and put online.
